I am attaching a screen shot with the serial moniter read out - so I know the program is fine -
i double checked that I am plugged into M2 which the code specifies

ladyada motor shield - the dc motor
as I feared the dc motor won't work - I presume its because the green pwr led won't turn on even with a power cord and usb both plugged in.
