His installations would engage the viewer about institutional dynamics, and would be a big part of contributing critical conversation around structures of power.
Nam June Paik
He saw a more dynamic relationship in the television and electronics and saw the potential of it being flexible multi textual art forms. He would combine video and digital images and make them into a sculptural work of art, by his knowledge of being able to reconceive television and turning it inside out and make something that was entirely new and different. Whats interesting about his work is that he sees video art as something that imitates nature through the process of "time-structure" where there is a certain kind of irreversibility with aging.
Toshio Iwai
he focused on relationship between the sound and image, using works that included dots going to pianos or other musical instruments and included even an audience based worked that required their participation. This was a mixed reality between sound and image and the audience, bringing the audience into the participation of his works rather than just being onlookers. He used interactivity, gestural interface and generative interactive aleatoric music.
