MoMA Talk to Me

Chris O’Shea (British, born 1981)
Hand From Above

I found this work interesting because of peoples varied reactions to it. It's in a large public space and the participants are put in the spot light. However some participants surely walk right through it without even noticing, whereas others become inthralled at being involved with the technology.

Joon Y. Moon (South Korean, born 1982)
Augmented Shadows

This work was just absolutely fascinating. I love how the artist has set up the basic frame for an environment that becomes morphed and grows based on what the audience does to it. Not to mention the overall creepiness that the shadows give off. It's some sort of haunting sensation that arrises from manipulating shadows that become alive with each new action.

Jean-Louis Frechin (French, born 1962)
MO musical objects from the interlude project

I found this to be really interesting  but I have to wonder how much freedom the device actually gives you to make the music you want. some of it sounded somewhat prerecorded to play a certain note regardless of what the next gesture or movement was. overall i think it's incredibly innovative and I'd love to get my hands on one for a bit.
