Final Project and the work of Dan graham

The general form and concept of my final project is similar to a few other artist's practices. The work of Avante garde video/performance artist Dan Graham has many interesting similarities. His work generally involves using video and careful timing to discuss concepts like space/time in relation to reflected imagery. Often times he will use mirrors and two-way mirror's to help compound the confusion between image and meaning. Works like “Opposing Mirrors and Video Monitors on Time Delay” create such intriguing spaces that challenge the viewer to place their own relation to time and space at the forefront of their mind in an attempt to fully realize how/why the piece is functioning.
