Human Interactions/ Brainstorming

People at a club
1.       People and people
a.       Talking to each other
b.      Dancing with/on each other
c.       Waving to each other
d.      Looking at each other
e.      Bumping into
f.        Walking around
g.       Cheering on
h.      Shouting
2.       People and the environment
a.       Dark setting, so people move around freely
b.      People react to music and pulsing, colorful lights through dancing
c.       Dance floor is center of room, so people gathered there
d.      Stage separates the DJ from the crowd
e.      Bar creates another space for people to gather around/stand at
f.        Dance floor also section off by wall dividers
                                                               i.      People who were not dancing gathered around the edge
g.       Outdoor setting as designated smoking area
h.      People gathered outside to socialize in a less noisy area
3.       People and machines
a.       DJ interacts with turntables
b.      DJ used headphones
c.       Interaction with microphones
d.      Using cellphones

Initial Ideas
1.       The first thing that came to mind for this project was a toy of some sort.
a.       A plastic toy that responds to human interaction
b.      A toy with LEDs

2.       A wall hanging with LEDs which responds to a person’s proximity
