For our project, we will be using a motor shield, rfid, LEDs, and LCD screen, and a piezo. The piezo will serve as the buzzer. In the example here, they are using the piezo to make a tune based on whether or not they are granted access. The LCD screen tells whether or not someone's access is granted on top of that. For our project, we will make the LCD screen prompt the user to put their keychain up to the reader. The only thing we have not figured out is whether to house all of this inside a dog or just as a regular security system.

The above example uses a motor to control a locking mechanism. This was something that was mentioned during the critique of our initial idea; "What would make someone keep trying these keys and what would prevent them from just going in anyway." Instead of drilling through the wall to install this project, we can have a latch come in front of the door.
