Four years ago (before I switched to an art major) I had an Intro to Electrical Engineering class where I had to solder and make a light blink and siren thing sound from a circuit board, but it was just basically following step by step instructions of how to do it. Unfortunately I really don't remember any of it though. Perhaps the act of it will come back to me with practice?
As for what I can identify without any kind of reference and just off the top of my head from the box, I can really only actively recognize the USB cable. I remember working with a lot of what's in the box for the aforementioned exercises, but I can't for the life of me remember what they're called.
