Its interesting how the technological devices still thrive after the humans are gone, they are mechanically deciding and working and cleaning after something that isnt there. But they dont live long because what point is there in these advanced useful technological devices if they aren't putting out anything for anyone, and one doesnt need it for itself, a machine needs the living. Therefore its own downfall comes out from it. It shows the possibility of technology eeriely living after all humans and even animals cease to exist but it doesn't stay that way, and even though its programmed to output on its own, it still can't without some form of human touch and commands to it. Its ruling out the possibility that technology can overtake humans because in the end, they are the created and still need to be updated or redone in ways that they cant do for themselves.
All was just slightly eerie, since some remains of humans were left, the outlines, and remains of animals, the dying dog, and remains of technology in the end, with the repeating date over and over.
The apocalypse come so Gainesville, pick a room or set of rooms in your home. Describe what electronic processes would continue to occur regardless of human presence. Be very thorough and specific. How long would these processes continue without intervention by humans? Bradbury writes science fiction. Is this piece plausible within our current world situation? Why or why not?
Choosing the kitchen and the bedroom, regardless of human presence the clocks in the room would continue to digitally chim away, the a/c unit would continue to automatically turn on, and the phones would still continue to charge. These all would continue, the phone fully charged sitting and ringing a tune every couple of days to remind an event that was put up on the calendar, still living and believing to remind me of upcoming events. The clock would continue to show the time day and night, until the circuits reset because of storm and then they would start flashing at 12:00 for a couple of hours and reset itself but become completely off in timing. The a/c would continue to cool the house, until winter comes and it stops turning itself on because of the cold house. These articles could continue for a while, till either a powerline is brought down by a falling tree, or the electricity cuts itself off automatically because the bills weren't paid. The piece Bradbury wrote is plausible within our current situation because he recalls how if the technology were to stop it would be a force of nature, such as a fire in his situation. It could be more, florida has hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorms, fires and even could be just plants and trees growing over it and cutting off the supply with roots and vines. It doesn't have to be that humans become extinct, it could just be that someone moves away and the house starts to erode and malfunction.
