MoMA Talk To Me - Artists

1) Do Ho Suh
Karma Juggler: Knowing Do Ho Suh's interest in architecture and the memory of space, I enjoyed this piece because it emphasizes the idea of how the space within our minds or psyche are intertwined through the movement of line. The drawing looks similar to his installation sculptures in that it has a ghostly effect on the viewer, almost appearing and disappearing within itself.

2) Onkar Kular
His piece about surveillance and the ever present "Big Brother" interested me as in my own work I have used  photography to track and revitalize lost or concealed spaces. For me, this piece reminds me of the alternate universe in which we have come to adjust our daily lives in. The idea of the internet and technology to be used as surveillance can be both helpful and a violation of our rights.

3) Olafur Eliasson
His piece with the rotating colors reminds me of a technicolor dream, where the space is enhanced and revitalized through the use of color. The colors act voluminousness as the rotate and change. They remind me also of the patterning in our DNA and bands of chromosomes you may find on when looking between other people chromosomes.
