Interesting Artists

I found several cool artists who use sensors and physical computing in their works.

1. Maurice Benayoun
He works with a lot of virtual reality and interactive installations and is known for "new media art." One of his pieces, "The Tunnel under the Atlantic," created in 1995, established a digital link between Montreal and Paris and allowed people on both sides to meet each other. I like this piece because it connects people through technology.

2. Michael Pestel
This artist and musician builds multi-media installations and instruments that focus on the extinction of certain kinds of birds. "Birdscape" is one installation that explores this issue.

3. Michael Shiloh
Has a background in electrical engineering and computer science and works with machine art, kinetic sculpture, physical computing, and robotics. I like that he makes a lot of robot art with everyday materials.

(Funny how all their names start with "M"!)
