Calculate how much it costs to use five common appliances that you use every day in your home for 24 hours. Please let me know the applicance, its wattage, amps and volts of each appliance and how you calculated cost.
My apartment's outlets produce 120 volts of energy for devices to use.
PS4- 240w, 120 volts, 2 amps = $1.05
microwave- 600w, 120 volts, 5 amps = $2.64
ceiling fan- .9 amps, 120 volts, 108w = $.47
phone charger- 3.68w, 120 volts, .03 amps = $.016
laptop- 330w, 120 volts, 2.75 amps = $1.45
How many of those appliances can you pug into one outlet without tripping a breaker? Please do this mathematically rather than through direct experience.
I think that my breaker allows for use of up to 2400w at a time so I can run all of these devices at once and a few more low wattage appliances as well. But I'd rather not even take that chance.
