Being normal is literally painful.
For our final project we wanted to make a continuation of the midterm. We still want to use the idea of control in our lives but explore it more and depict it more clearly. Instead of the doll we are going to use an object that represents everything that is wrong with society and it's one of the most cruel ways to shape our personalities and how we are forced to like certain things or do certain things to fit in and be "accepted". The idea of a name being more important than others, a "brand" like in a purse is one of the ways that we are manipulated as if to fit in society. We can never truly be ourselves because we are always going to do at least one things that is "forbidden" in today's society.The technology that we are going to use is shock and heat sensors that are gonna be connected to every person in the room and they in turn in turn are going to be connected to a Prada purse. So whoever touches the purse will get electrocuted or burned.
It represents how we are willing to suffer or not be ourselves for the sake of being socially accepted. Even though we might like different things (different purses) we are still forced to like certain ones because they are more "accepted" by society.
