Lin and Kelsey - research

We want to have our LED array mounted in a casing and hanging from the ceiling, projecting onto the wall. People will feel like they are looking at the back of the piece, and will want to walk around to view the front. There will be proximity sensors so that as people approach, the lights will dim until they turn off. Diagram is above.

Looking up info to make our LED "litebrite" array.

This is super cool, but we can't afford shiftbrights: http://macetech.com/blog/node/93

We will need to use shift registers to control more LEDs than we have pins on the arduino. Here is an article we found about them: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/system/ArduinoShiftRegisters.aspx
