I'd like to create a piece of wearable art that uses LEDs and solar power for the first sketch. I'm considering some sort of hat at the moment, perhaps a jacket purchased from a thrift shop.
I want to tie all the sketches, and eventually the final project together with a solarpunk theme.
Solarpunk is both a aesthetic and a movement. The solarpunk movement advocates for sustainability and generally a much brighter future than the one that we have now. Solarpunk is a bastion of hope in a present weighed down by dystopian regimes and pollution of the environment and ideology.
Check out this awesome solar-powered hat. Not only is it the height of fashion, it also comes equipped with a fan to keep you cool while you dish out sick burns.
it can be purchased here. (for the low price of your dignity)

9/9 5 LED resistor exercise
Please locate the specs of 5 different LEDs on the one of the Digikey links. Each LED should be of a different color and manufacturer. Calculate what resistor using ohms law and a calculator would work for that LED. Please post to the blog. Include the manufacturer name and color.

sunLED 1497-1055-nd red 1.9V 10mA
resistor: 310 Ohms
lite-on inc. 160-1649-6-ND Blue 3.4 V 20 mA
resistor: 80 ohms
Rohm Semiconductor. 511-1651-2-ND Orange 1.9 V 1mA
resistor:3.1k Ohms
Panasonic electric components P14132TR-ND Green 1.95V 5mA
resistance: 610 ohms
Vishay Semiconductor Opto Division VLMW1300-GS08TR-ND Cool white 2.93V 5mA
resistor: 414 ohms
sunLED 1497-1055-nd red 1.9V 10mA
resistor: 310 Ohms
