Manga pg. 90-116 hw

What is the relationship between heat and electricity. Please provide a metaphor.
When an electrical current flows through a resistance, heat is produced. A metaphor could be when you’re running (producing electricity) and sweat (heat) is produced.

Why is it warm near an incandescent light bulb?
Thus, it is warm near a light bulb because as the current is passing through the bulb’s resistor(s), heat is constantly being emitted.

What is a superconductor? What are they used for in real life? You may have to look this up. How could one make a metal a superconductor?
A superconductor is a material whose temperature drops to near absolute zero, decreasing its resistance. They are used to create electricity without current loss. One could make a metal a superconductor by lowering its temperature to near zero.

What is Ampere's Law?
The law stating that magnetic fields are generated in a circular pattern around a current.

If current of the same size flows in the same direction in two electric wires placed side by side, what happens?
A force of attracting is generated and they combine to form one large magnetic field.

What happens if current of the same size flows in opposite directions in two electric wires placed side by side?
A force of repulsion is generated in the wires and the magnetic fields negate each other.
