Observe interactions between people and people, people and the environment, people and machines. Record your observations in the blog. Come to class prepared to brainstorm unrealistic and realistic ideas about the main project.
While I was shopping at Target today, I witnessed many people interacting with each other and technology. Shoppers who were alone seemed more courteous and made an effort to not be in strangers ways while browsing through the narrow aisles. If there were groups of people shopping together, most of the time they would hold loud conversations. I also witnessed a mother scold her young son who was making a disturbance near the nail polish rack. There were several item scanners around the store, and I saw a few people using it. For some reason, there were only two cashiers working so the majority of the people checking out were using the self check out machines at the front of the store; in my opinion are a lot faster than actual people.
