Overall, I think we took our original project to the "next level" but have a long ways to go towards a truly finished "artwork."
The placement and use of the white LEDs could have been better, more focused and well-thought out. Yes, the dirt could have been pushed more by motors. Maybe we should have used plastic objects other than just toy bugs, or altered the toy bugs even more. I kind of wish the toys with motors didn't wreck themselves in such a short time. Using the long naked wire was efficient or creating manageable chains of lights versus chaining them with jumper cables, but ultimately that got really unruly when I had so many strings and a single touch by another naked wire would shut them off (jumper cables are insulated for a reason). More time, better organization and more focus would have really helped.
I also think Chris did a fantastic job on the construction of the compost heap container. Yes, it could have been bigger and taller and maybe a little more genuine looking. But I feel like people ignored the high level of craft in that thing... it could have gone so wrong so easily. My bugs where insanely disorganized, but Chris's half of the project was the organized, sane base for all the chaos. I think we used our strengths to cover each other's weaknesses a lot better this time around.
In conclusion, I am very tired and glad this class this over good bye sensors forever hopefully but probably not~
