Manga Guide to Electricity Questions Pgs 36-80

1. Static Electricity:

This was a piece of plexiglas that I removed the plastic coating from, it had an extremely strong static charge. The electrostatic induction caused the strong charge to transfer to my hair if i put the plexi relatively close.

2. Electrons move 1 cm per second or less, electrical flow is the speed of light,  300,000 km per second.

3. P=VxI, so something with higher resistance needs more energy to run. I.e a cellphone charger vs a laptop, the laptop would have more resistance and thus need more energy to charge than the tiny cellphone with less resistance.

4. DC is direct current, like plugging into the 5V hole on the arduino. AC is alternating current, like Pulse Width Modulation. (Of course ad/dc are not digital but analog). AC comes directly from the wall in America, but things like a computer charger brick convert it to DC to charge the battery.

5. 6.0 Ω and a 8.0 Ω in series: 14.0Ω
    In Parallel: 3.428Ω
