Skycraft Scavenger Hunt

1. 4 Different Types of LEDs

3mm Red LED - 1.8-2.2 V - 16-18mA

3mm Red&Green Dual LED - 2.1 V - 10-20mA

RGB LED Strip - 24 V - 180mA

LED Infrared Square - 9-12V

2. 2 Giant Capacitors

3. Asked employees and they only had this one product that contains a solar panel

Solar Cell Module - 6V, 50 mA - Ideal for powering science experiments, LEDs, custom electronics projects using solar energy instead of batteries.

4. Breadboard

5. 5 Devices that contain sensors

Hall effect and induction are noncontact technologies based on the principle that for a given current flow, a proportional magnetic field is produced around the current-carrying conductor. When the energized Hall device is exposed to a magnetic field from the core, it produces a potential difference (voltage) that can be measured and amplified into process level signals such as 4–20 mA or a contact closure.

Photometric Sensor measures light as seen by the human eye or where the eye is the primary receiver of the lighting conditions.

Heat-cool thermostat contains and supports temperature sensors and sometimes humidity sensors as well to gauge the temperature of the surrounding area.

Proximity sensor sends out a signal and pings against objects in its range and detects how far away they are from the sensor at certain intervals.

Temperature switches are designed to signal when process media reaches a set temperature. The transducer will operate a mechanical snap switch when the set point has been reached, and will reset when the process media conditions drop below the dead band.

6. 6 Different Kinds of Cables

3 ft HDMI cable

1/8" 1 Male to 2 Female Cable

1/8" Male to 1/8" Female 25 ft Stereo Cable

VGA "Y" Splitter - 1 Male to 2 Female

5 M Speaker Cable - Elite Series - 14 gauge

7. Remote Control

8. Electronics Kit - LED Running Light Kit - Different LED running effects are selectable with a push button and adjustable speed with potentiometer.

9. Solderable Perf Board

10. 5 Different Motors

12V DC Gear Motor - generates 8.46 Kg-cm of torque at 28 RPM. This motor is quite compact considering the amout of power it can output.  This motor comes equipped with an E4P US Digital Encoder, which keeps track of the motor's rotation, allowing you to control your motor precisely.  The planetary gearbox on this motor is more sophisticated than a typical spur gearbox and will provide greater efficiency, higher torque, and quieter motor operation.

Pairs of 3-6V DC permanent magnet motors with foam drive wheels. Originally to drive small toy cars on a track. Low torque output. Includes battery ends and 2 speed slide switch.

The stepper motor is an electromagnetic device that converts digital pulses into mechanical shaft rotation. Advantages of step motors are low cost, high reliability, high torque at low speeds and a simple, rugged, construction that operates in almost any environment. The main disadvantages in using a stepper motor is the resonance effect often exhibited at low speeds and decreasing torque with increasing speed.

6-24V DC Gearhead motor - DC motors are generally used in lower voltage applications where portability is the primary goal, and have brushes to switch the magnetic alignment to cause rotation.

Synchronous Motor that operates AC 220V with 2.5/3 RPM. Low noise and robust, this is a good motor for hand-made models or school projects.

11. 3 Types of camera/optical devices

12. 3 Devices that produce sound

250 Amplified professional active loudspeaker with rechargeable battery. Wireless music stream with 2-way configuration and active filter, 8" woofer with 1.5" TIL voice coil, class a/b amplifier

Piezo tweeter - tweet type of loudspeaker that's designed to produce high audio frequencies, in contrast to woofers which deliver low-frequencies.

Buzzer operates in the voltage range of 12-24V DC and a current draw of 95-140mA. Wire the buzzer to any contact closure and power supply to trigger the buzzer when the contact is made. Use the buzzer in a security system to be the alarm when the system is tripped.

13. Strobe Light

14. 5 Different Kinds of Potentiometers - potentiometers are simple electro-mechanical transducers. They convert linear or rotary motion from the operator into a change of resistance, and this change can be used to control anything from the volume of a hi-fi system to the direction of a huge container ship.
