Manga Questions 90-116

Manga Guide to Electricity Read 90-116
Answer the following on the blog.

What is the relationship between heat and electricity. Please provide a metaphor.
Electricity when dissipated creates heat through its vibrations or thermal vibration. As food is eaten it is digested and creates heat.

Why is it warm near an incandescent light bulb?

Because the mercury atoms are bouncing off the fluorescent material in the bulb.

What is a superconductor? What are they used for in real life? You may have to look this up. How could one make a metal a superconductor? When the atoms aren’t moving and the electrons can move freely without any collisions it is superconductive. Superconductors are used in mag lev trains and MRI’s. Freeze it.

What is Ampere's Law?
If current of the same size flows in the same direction in two electric wires placed side by side, what happens? Two things happen, the two magnetic fields generate in the two wires are combined to form one large magnetic field and a force of attraction is generated that causes the two electric wires to attract each other.

What happens if current of the same size flows in opposite directions in two electric wires placed side by side? A force of repulsion is generated and the magnetic fields negate each other.
