Mastermind behind the "art of wearable communication," Kate Hartmann creates devices and interfaces for humans and plants alike, in a way that challenged our conceptions are communication, and its portability.
Horochowski used media to render sculptures, thus altering their natural state, as well as the functional fixedness with associate with sculptures. The aesthetic is meant to evoke a "post-human natural history of the future," by merging natural objects and waste with generated pieces. This mix of nature, sculpture and video nods to our current culture as well as nature's persistent indifference with "the times."
With an Art + Technology workshop, based in the UK, that focuses on physical computing, sound art and kinetic sculpture, we find Jeremy Keenan: a sonic artist. Keenan directs the workshop for artists interested in creating sculptures that emit sound based on electronic sensors and computer controlled techniques. Keenan's own work depicts composition mainly of of feedback, light and sound.
