Everyone seems to be so attached their mobile devices. They are more than just a phone, they are a device for anti-socializing and looking like you’re doing something when you don’t want to stand around looking awkward. When in an elevator with a stranger, instead of having to endure a painfully loud silence most people pretend like they’re texting or go on facebook. It is impossible to go a day without interacting with some sort of technology.

When people are interacting with the environment it is always a deliberate act. If we go to a park it always has to be planned. Walking around in nature isn’t as mundane as being on your phone.
