Artist Research

United Visual Artists
https://uva.co.uk
-In the case of architectural works, time of day of viewing is important
-Emphasis on viewer actively moving around space
-In the case of "Volume," the fact that the viewer is creating their own path of sound and light as they move around the space is interesting
-The light is always moving, creating a sense of space then altering it and causing it to collapse; it seems like it would make the viewer restless, but it seems soothing in a way
-Individualized pockets of experiences
-Spaces look fairly uniform and open/organized; the fact that fragments of space are created and revealed as light moves is interesting

Dan Rozin

-Constantly shifting elements, but it doesn't really draw attention to the mechanics of the pieces of art
-The fact that it's not entirely photorealistic is also really interesting; movements mirroring the movements and shifting of the viewer

Studio Drift

-Heavily inspired by nature
-The fact that they use delicate, thin materials is interesting; I'm drawn to the way that these materials drape and fold, and the movements of these materials. Imagining the quiet sounds of these fabrics moving, and the mechanisms moving them, is interesting
-Their pieces look very intricate; they appear very light, as well
