I'm really interested in doing something with textiles, as they really have a nice physicality and invite a person to touch them.
I've been looking at conductive thread and yarn that arduino has with the intention that I could either sew, embroider, or crochet something that could signal a sensor. (In some way... but I'm not sure what I want to do with it.)
One idea I'm considering is some sort of plush toy project that responds to touch. I could sew it up with conductive thread or embroider on it... I just think it's a medium that invites people to touch the work. Plush toys have the connotation of childhood and comfort so if I could say something about that with a project, I'd like to explore that option.
