DiMoDa- digital museum of digital art
http://digitalmuseumof.digital/art/
DiMoDa is a museum that exists in virtual reality, or physical computing that reacts to your movements while transporting your major senses to a digitally created world. The curators of DiMoDa exhibit the artworks of other VR artists, but this curation could be considered art in its own right. The environments and realities we are capable of experiencing through VR are only as limited as our own imaginations so I think this curatorial project is really important for the development of a new technological art medium. The museum is also downloadable to anyone who has a VR platform, so its public accessibility is intriguing as well.
Rafael-Lozanno Hemmer
I find the diversity of his work intriguing, from the romanticism of solar flare display to using measuring tapes as time measuring devices. I like this because many artists make stances as to what art is "for", but Hemmer uses art both in a romantic way and in a critical way.
Haque
I find the Haque / Umbrellium group interesting because it exhibits two trends that I see recurrent in electronic based arts - large group collaborations and architectural thinking. I think the Primal Source piece is interesting because it gets people to make noise. I wonder if it is connected to primal screaming therapy. I don't necessarily agree with the piece for its large use of water. I hope they just used water from the ocean. California is so water scarce. I'd expect to see this piece in Las Vegas, where water is flaunted like the dryness of the mirage that is this devils playground.
