At Art Basel last year, I saw a huge trend of neon lights being used in pieces to form text! I've also always really loved Jenny Holzer's work where she uses text in LED signs.
I have no experience with electronics or sensors, really. I've watched someone build a computer before, if that counts? As far as programming, I have some experience in Java (in addition to Processing from Programming for Artists last semester,) C++, and I took a computer organization class where I learned about hardware and MIPS assembly language. I'm definitely not an expert on any of those though.
I expect to learn a lot more about how circuits work! I have a very vague idea and I would love to learn more about it.
